Goal; To develop an app. that connects a non-traditional workforce to local work spaces.

Type: Mobile App.

Responsibilities: End to End UX Design and User Research

Tools: Figma, Google Slides, Google Drive, Zoom, Otter

The Project

During the recent pandemic, many workers were forced to leave their offices and work from home. While some may have struggled with this new environment, others saw the value in a flexibility for themselves and their families. As some workers returned to the office, many more chose another path. As we enter the post-pandemic era, these workers have become a whole new category of the working force, coined the Digital Nomad. They spend their full time schedule working on the go! Our team is seeking to tackle the problem of finding reliable working space for traveling workers.

The Problem

It is difficult for those who travel frequently while working to find a reliable location that fits all their needs. Whether traveling full time or once a year for a conference, the workspace should allow for a productive, creative, and flexible head-space.

The Solution

CorpNomad offers a comprehensive search function to allow users to find nearby work spaces that meet their specific needs (i.e. space, location, wifi speed, etc.).

User Interviews

After conducting 5 user interviews, we found our users greatest pain points were a lack of internet quality, little options outside of crowded coffee shops, and the required equpiment setup.

User Insight

Jeremy needs to find reliable work spaces because it allows him to continue to travel the world while maintaining a consistent work schedule.

Prototype

After conducting 5 usability tests, I found the following results.

High Priority Issues:

-Reset password hidden in log in screen.
-Log in vs. Sign up unclear
-Issue with map navigation *forces you to search instead of clicking all buttons

Reccomeneded Solutions
-Make log in choice more clear so users know to go there if they already have an account - after splash screen
-Allow location services should pop up immediately on arriving at home page. Also search filters should be clickable without the need to search

What's Next?

Going forward with this project I'd like to:
1. Continue to iterate on the details of each design and incorporate more iOS best practices.
2. Expand the search filter feature to accurately show its' value.
3. Make all flow transitions uniform.
4. Add additional social log in features.
5. Add animations throughout the app.
